The 06 owners manual was revised for the 07 models and shows all the new stuff.

 

THis is what I used and have had no problems with. You control the iPod witht he shaker and hide your iPod away. Mine is hidden in the armrest. Just ran the wire under the center console and out of the e-brake access panel in the armrest.

What about those of us that dont have Ipod's?
Do they have one that isnt Ipod specific? just a pair of RCA's or a mini plug is fine.

 

Hi guys, im new here..and new to an 07 GT. .
I saw this topic and was wondering if some one could answer a few questions about the factory 07 Shaker AUX input.

My 07 has the AUX in the arm rest, I also have the Shaker 500 with Sirius.
I have a Sansa Sandisk e250R MP3 im trying to get to work through the AUX input with no luck.

So question 1.
Is the factory 07 AUX input for "IPOD" products only?
or 2.
Will the the AUX input just not work in combination with the factory Sirius setup installed?

Any info would be apreciated. If not I guess I need to contact the dealer.

 

If you hit the aux button 3 times or so it should cycle to the line in. That will get you to the jack. plug in whatever you want and have a blast.

I thought maybe there might have been some other steps I have missed, but mine still dosen't work . I never see a "line in" displayed on the radio as you describe, just Sat 1 2 3.
I did find out aswell by the dealership by phone today that my non IPOD mp3 player should work with the steps you mention as well with the factory Sirius. I was also told by them, that the AUX input conections could be loose or not hooked up to the unit, or that the 500 unit may be bad and need to be replaced.
I'm going to try and trace the AUX connections for myself first to see what I find, and then go from there for the dreaded sevice department visit if needed.

So I called the Local Ford Stealership and they gave me a part #6r3z19a464-aa Price is roughly around $55. Is the part easy to install? They said it was a kit. Also is this a modulator, where it works with static through the radio, like my crappy i trip i just bought. Because the thing sounds like an old record with static. Or does it plug right into the Shaker 500 and work with the aux button. Any feedback I would appreciate.
