Trouble codes

sometimes my check engine comes on and when I get home and put my diablo on it shows no trouble codes and I clear them and then the check engine lights off...???? How come it does not show the code?

My sct2 tuner gives me codes and I google them for the answer.

it could be fuel cap, or fuel related
