Default Anyone running the stock clutch with a SC?

My buddy is insisting I'll have to upgrade my clutch as soon as I get my SC. Just checking.

I'm running the stock clutch with no problems. But, then again, I'm not drag racing either.

Change it when it breaks, not before. If your buddy doesn't like that, then TS [8D]

Word. Keep a tow truck number handy.

Still have my stock clutch. No problems so far. No need to upgrade until you break it!

Are you on stock internals with your setup? I'm considering a 10 PSI saleen but I'm concerned about the internal stress.

Yes I'm still on stock internals. Procharger has been in for a year no w/o any engine problems. With a good tune from a quality tuner you shouldnt have any issues.

Would your clutch break? Or would it just start slipping bad letting you know it was time for a replacement?

If you aren't drag racing it and don't plan to put radials on your car then you should be fine. I only have problem (actually grinding sounds) when I nail it from 1st or second and I have heated my tires so they hookup. (I have line locks). My next upgrade is a flywheel and spec 3+ twin clutc like ford fan boy has. But like I said the stock clutch will slip every time until you upgrade it. It's up to you if you want the full potential of the 5K+ blower you just bought. But Yes, the stock one will hold for some time, depends on your driving behavior.
