Default Hidden Shaker 500/1000 feature for radio stations

In one of my threads, I mentioned that there is a hidden option on the Shaker 500/1000 to show the text of the song playing on the radio stations. It scrolls artist name/song name, and also when enabled allows you to scroll through radio stations by type of music (top 40, country, rock, etc.). It really is quite useful. Well, I've gotten a lot of emails about it, so I thought I'd share.

You turn on the radio, and hold the menu button down for like 5-6 seconds. It should then give you a hidden option RDS on/off. Turn it on. From there, you can see the song artist/name on radio stations, and hidden text they broadcast. Also you can now search for station by type (rock, rap, country, etc.). Pretty cool!

EDIT: once you access this menu, and turn RDS on, press menu a few more times to get some more hidden options :-D

don't know...if it is, it's embedded in some paragraph somewhere and mentioned as a footnote, cause it isn't easy to find if you look through the manual.
