v6 to v8

RE: v6 to v8
With your engine...drop in a procharger and call it a day.
Otherwise you'll need a ton of stuff to complete the swap which begs the question, why not just sell the v6 and buy a gt? At that point, between the cost for parts, extensive labor, and down time of the car...there are better options out there unless you're looking to build it as a track-only race car. In that case you have a great platform. I think this was covered in 5.0 or Muscle Mustang and Fast Fords magazine last month...
good luck man.

To follow up on what darkpath was saying, yes you CAN swap a V8 for your V6. But you need to define your expectations for the car - daily driver, weekend crusier, show vehicle, track-only race car. Your needs/expectations will direct you to the best manner to achieve your goals. You may be better off going with Forced Induction on your V6, you could swap in a 3V GT motor, a 5.4L, or a 460cid big-block. It all depends on your needs and how big a wallet you have.

+1, very doable but cheaper to buy a new GT.
I believe you would need the engine, computer, trans, rear ends, and about 50 other things you will realize as you put it together.
Unless you were going to something wild like a 5.4L or a built 351 then I could see the positive.
Disregard all that if you want a race car though. To do that you scrap everything anyway but due to your $$ comment I dont think thats the case.
I would say look at a T/S supercharger if they make one for the 6 as it will make the car feel like a V8. If not you will still be happy with a centrifugal and will be making modified GT hp. Like 330 rwhp I believe but I am not a 6 expert.
My 2 cents.

It'd be alot easier and cheaper to just trade in for a GT. There is alot more to do than just swapping the motor in. Suspension, fuel system, driveshaft, differential, transmission, wiring harness. If you're going to go through all that trouble, you better have something better than a 3V GT motor to put in there. The only way I would go through all that hassle is if I was dropping in a 4V 5.4 or 4.6SC.
