I was wondering if anyone is running these on their car? How do you like them? What do they sound like? I would imagine they sound somewhat similar to the SLP Loudmouths since they delete the mufflers. Thanks in advance!

Pypes muffler delete axle back

 

Those are what I was looking for a few months ago. I called pypes and asked if I could order just the ends of their mid muffler setup. I asked if I could purchase a salvaged mid muffler kit that had the mid pipe back still in good shape. B>S> They claim pypes custom exhaust. They wouldn't even sell me these tips. Pypes stuff is garbage and you get less than what you pay for. I have their very low quality o/r h.

Yes, very odd. I have their high-quality Off-Road H and Violators axle-back. I didn't even have to specify "high-quality" when I ordered!

I would think they would sound 100% just like SLP Loud Mouths. Same exact thing, really, just different tips.

 

I'm still debating whether I want to get the Pypes mid-muffler system, Pypes violator axle-back, or the Pypes muffler delete axle-back. Hmmmm...

 

The only problem I have with Pypes Exhaust is that they do not know how to package their products for shipment. I ordered the O/R H-pipe from Brenspeed, and the box I received was flimsy and had holes in the end where the pipes had punched through. One of the pipes was caved in a little on the end. I had to round it back out with pliers. I still think it was a little warped after I fixed it. Take a look at TacoBill's install post, and you'll see the condition in which his box arrived. SHAMEFUL!

I might not be able to get the Pypes muffler delete system. Ifound this on the DMV website...

Is this law really enforced though? Do cops really care? I mean as long as the exhaust isn't super loud then they wouldn't pull me over and find out I have no muffler right? Anyone here from California running with a muffler delete system such as the PypesorSLP Loudmouth and have gotten a fix it ticket from the police?

 

I don't have that exhaust setup but I do live in Socal and have gotten two fix it tickets for exhaust. It just depends on the area where you live ... most don't care but there is always that one that does

 

I have the pypes Violator axle-backs and their o/r x pipe and love it! I've had it on for about 2 weeks now it's amazing--so much funner to drive with loud exhaust!!
