Default Cant hook up, and advice!

so i went to steele alabama to run my car again with my new dyno tune from doug and i get to the lights break torque it to 1500 and let go and just SPIN, i mean i ran a 15.2 at 93 mhp. i had a 2.59 60-ft. i tried just stomping it and i still spun and ran a 15.3. if im traping a 93 should i be in the 14's! i was getting really irretated. i tried everything. btw im on street tires. any suggestions? thanks guys, Cameron

There are several things you can do to improve your traction.

Get a LSD for your rear end (also called positraction or traction lock). You could get an aftermarket one and have gears installed at the same time. The problem with your car is you only have 1 wheel that spins (like my 99 v6). The more power you add, the more traction you need and you're just overwhelming that 1 wheel. I would do these things in this order to improve traction:

1. Limited Slip Differential (LSD)
2. Lower Control Arms (LCAs)

If you get those 2 things and still have traction problems, get some drag radials and call it a day.

With an auto, launching without powerbreaking at all is worse than powerbreaking a little (1200 or so rpm) and spinning more. In your case, you seem to have some severe traction problems. LSD should fix you up. Good luck man.

+1 LDS, LCA, tires
and if your thinking about doing gears it would be cheaper to do gears and LSD at the same time as they'll probobly have the ring out to install the LSD

a slick on the right rear

a good set of rear tires inflated for racing should help, if not fork over some cash and tune up that diff.

Hmm...for daily driving...LSD will help with traction making it less likely to lose control thus providing added safety.
