Default For those with loud exhausts...

Have you noticed that cars rev up to you less often, now that your car is LOUDER than stock? Im talking about set-ups with an off road pipe (H or X- doesnt matter). I had my Pypes O/R H Pipe on for a couple of months, than decided to take it off because I needed a break from drone since its a daily driver for me. Well during the time I had my pipes on, it was RARE that somebody revved up to me and wanted to challenge me in a race. Now that I took my Pipes off, (I still have my stingers on) almost everyday, no matter where im at, somebody has to rev at me and give clear, obvious signals that they want to race me. Even a couple of friends noticed this when they were in my car. Im getting tired of people trying to constantly challenge me! Therefore, the Pypes are going back on. Besides, I miss the deep sound so thats another excuse to put it back on Maybe I intimidated a lot of cars with the o/r pipe... who knows [8D] So has this ever occured to you guys?

I've been driving around with straight pipes for a month and a half and I have to say I have noticed that a little bit.

I always thougth it was the oposite...thinking that if someone had a super loud exhaust you would figure they probably have other mods and are into performance/racing so the chances of them engaging into a race would be better then someone who is stock or just has an axle back...but who knows maybe all of this is in our heads....

I noticed it after I did the cams. The car rocks at idle - I guess it's a little intimidating to some.

Complete opposite for me. I have way more people trying to race me.

i don't even have an o/r h or x pipe, just the borla catbacks, and i can honestly say that not ONCE since i got the pony in march has someone revved up to me at a light. weird, huh? maybe it's my intimidating red light grimace or my full sleave tattoos ... heh!

Completely opposite for me. Noone paid attention to my '07 before. Now everyone does. And I get more people reving at me because they want to hear me get on it. Guess it sounds good.[sm=gears.gif]

well if they do rev at me, i just light it up a couple times and that seems to always detour them, maybe the fact that blood is spraying out of their ears from the pressure...heh
