Default There goes my UCA...

I've had it installed for two days with the factory setting (the springs and struts aren't on yet), and this is the aftermath after hearing a popping noise this morning on the way to work. Could it have been a faulty unit, because it was installed as directed...

wow.. what brand is this? this makes me want to go check mine. I have a non adj upper che and adjustable bmr lowers. I have a lot more road noise with this setup so can you describe the pop you heard?
I can't help with weather it was defective or not, but I would think the manufacturer should. common sense tells me that shouldn't happen.

It's a CHE Double Adjustable UCA. The sound actually sounded like something metal in my rear had just fallen and hit the concrete. I doubled around to see if anything had fallen and there was nothing. Then when looking tonight, I saw that.[:@]

Did you install it with the "pinion snubber" in this orientation?

I hope whoever installed that is a certified mechanic, if you want a refund at least.

Man I got a BMR adjustable upper and Lakewood adjustable lowers. I just had the upper done a little while back. I think it needs a little more adjustment. Was planning on waitting a couple weeks and having it done when they did my blower. Not so sure I'm gonna wait now!

So really it was just the snubber that went south?
