New body work questions...
I just went to a local body/paint shop that has done work for me in the past that was good. They gave me an estimate to do 3 peices of work...
1. Paint and install Roush spoiler
2. Paint and install Cervini's GT500 quarter-window louvres
3. Paint and install Cervini's GT500 side scoops
I know that they will do an amazing job and the installation isnt really anything hard but they arent charging for it but just for the painting and drilling for the roush spoiler they want just over 600 buck... is that a lot or am I just being cheap?
Also is there a way to paint these myself cuz last time I tried to paint a hood scoop for my car it was way off even though it was the factory paint color.

I paid 200.00 for my mirrors to be sanded and painted, my roush wing and lovers to be painted. I did the install, not hard. Grant you the guy who painted mine is a friend of a friend and he was doing some other repair work for me.
I would ask how much just for the paint, you can do the drilling and install yourself.

Sounds about right butif I were you I would install the parts myself... I have the Roush spoiler and it doesn't take any longer then an hour and half - 2 hours tops -- then again it was me and buddy doing it together ~ J
I would not drill by the way. No sir.
If you prep the area where the parts go to, the double side tape will hold good. Just make sure it's at least 70 degrees.

Have you seen any of their previous work?
If its good and professional, that $600 is the best
$600 you can spend. $200 or $400 for a kinda
good but dusty over buffed paint and crooked
spoiler is just a waste. Look at their previous
work very carefully, and not just the show car
they have around the shop that represents their
work. Customers rides and word of mouth can
tell alot about what you will be getting for your
$600. Seems steep but you usually get what
you pay for. Sometimes.

I drilled mine just to be safe ... not to mention that when I first got the stang (3 weeks old) it had a scoop on it... I opened it up and woooosh.... there went the scoop... lol... so much for 3M... haha. The paint was fine but it's the point behind it... I just bought a new hood after that just cause it made me feel better -- now to answer your question... the side pieces of the Roush spoiler take 4 holes a piece (drilled) & the center piece will use the stock holes that are there from yuor stock spoiler.
