It's supposed to be controversial? Ford and GM both make good things. People who are offended with one or the other make me laugh.

But all in all, it's a bit boring. Allgo and no show. With all that effort you'd think they'd do more than stick GT lights in the grille and a little cowl hood.

That's why I love it! Form should always follow function. I agree with you though, automotive domestic brand loyalty belongs in trailer parks behind confederate flag draped doors.

I disagree. You can easily paint brand loyalty as a low and myopic way of thinking, but I don't think this is fair. I see it as a means for expressing appreciation for my car. It is no more arbitrary or silly than loyalty to a sports team, or to one's alma mater (all universities do essentially the same thing, why boost your own?)
I root for Ford (albeit in a passive way) because it produced something that I care about, and seeing Ford continue to bring out quality reaffirms the good sense of this love.
Is there really no part of you that hopes the next 'stang will one-up the upcoming camaro? I certainly hope so!

That is pretty darn sick (in a good way). I'd love an LS7 with Twin Turbos under my hood! Holy Jeebus!
