Default Tire dillema

Ok first of all please please please dont move this to the rim and tire section nobody ever checks it!

Anyway, for xmas im going to be getting some 18x9 and 18x10.5 staggered black fr500's. For the past week i've been searching trying to find just the right size tire for these rims, i've tried tire size calculators and looked just about everywhere and i still cant decide. Ok pretty much what looks best with this combo? Im not going to be lowered so im not looking for a super low profile sidewall, i also dont want a huge bulging mass of rubber and i dont really want the front tires to look larger then the rear as far as height goes. What are the best/most common sizes for the front and back? Picks of stock ride height with this combo size would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

*btw yes i have used the search function and cant find what i need. unless someone cant point me to a thread i may have missed.

If you don't plan on lowering your car I would recommend the Nitto 555's. Go with the 295/45/18 out back and the 255/45/18 in front. They do a pretty good job of filling up the wheelwell, although I still think i'm gonna lower mine at least an inch all the way around.

thanks for the help guys! so is there any big advantage of going to a 255/45 instead of a 245/45? just more tire im guessing. Im still used to my new edge and how a 245/45 fit the front quite nicely.

The 255 is slightly wider, and slightly taller. Not a huge difference, probably not much more than a 1/4" either way. IMO the first thing you should do is pick your back tire. Once you figure out what brand and size you want for the rear, the front is alot easier to match up with the same brand.

either lookin at the nitto 555's or the bfg t/a kdw 2 price is a big factor here though, im gonna end up spending twice as much on the tires then as the rims!

295/45/18 out back will change your speedo readings as it is a taller tire than the stock 27.1 inches.

285/40/18 out back is 27.1 inches tall so you speedo won't be off.

You can correct with the handheld but remember, going with a taller tire in the rear will be effectively dropping your rear gear ratio, from a 3.55 to a 3.31. I didn't do the math so it may not be that much but you get the idea.
