door lock doesnt work with key
Pull the inner door trim panel and fix it.
There is probably only a clip missing or broken.
Or take it in for warranty work to the dealership.[:@]
Does the key turn but do nothing or will the key not
even turn?

My problem with the drivers door is the lock doesn't open when you use the automatic unlock on the drivers door. I always have to reach over and pull the handle. The one time it worked was when I brought it back to the dealer for something else. It hasn't worked since I brought the car home. Murphy's law.

The key will not turn the lock toward the unlock position if the door is locked. if I unlock the door with the remote, the key will turn the lock to the unlock position also to the lock position, locking the door, but then will not unlock it again. it seems as if there is some sort of electric stop placed in front of the key action until the lock is unlocked with the remote. the owners book is not clear on this. thanks for any help with this. I had the car in the dealer last week to replace the fuel pump and a switch on the fuel vapor system that was causing a fuel cap light on the display, all warranty work so far. guess ifI have to I can go back again, I just want to be sure it is not something I can correct with switchology.

Stealership-squeelership time for you.
Take some lube if its not covered under warranty.
Heck, mine could be that way also. Never once
have I used the door key to get in. Might scratch
the paint by accident...[:@]
Now if my battery dies thats another story. I guess
its trunk to rear fold down seat entry for me.
No scientology will work for you here. Its key
fob remote for the rest of its life or a trip to the
"we scratched your paint by mistake" stealership.
Or your lock is fixed, now your door rattles like
a snake. Or that big ol grease spot on your seat
was there when you brought it in. Or not sure why
your front tires are flat spotted.
Whoops.
Where are my happy pills....
