Default Exhaust Opinions

Right now I have the SLP LMs and I would like to go with an H-pipe. I know they will be too loud for our local PD with an H-pipe added (I ride a Harley so the noise doesn't bother me).

What is a good combination of axel back and H-pipe that is good quality, reasonable price and sounds like a classic muscle car?

Thanks

I had the loudmouths with an offroad h pipe for a while but had to get rid of the loudmouths. It was really loud which didn't bother me so much, but it was real choppy I thought. The best combination I have heard in person is the stingers and pypes offroad h pipe. Although I'm sure there are many other combinations out there that sound just as good. Listen to some clips or go to a car show to get an idea of what the different setups are like.

I would have to disagree abou the o/r h and stingers. I have the pypes o/r h and have had 5 different setups with them. First I had the Corsa's, these sounded like a mix between a Harley, a riding lawnmower and one of them there hillbilly diesel trucks. VERY CHOPPY. The same can be said for the Stingers, only worse than the Corsa's, as that was my second set of axelbacks. My third set were Flowmasters. These sounded the best to me, but that is my opinion. They had a deep growl at idle sounded really good cruising around and loud and good at WOT. The only problem I had was they had the broken baffle, so I decided to try another setup. The next setup I hadwas Mac's these sounded similar to the Flow's, but they were a little more choppy. I took these off and put on Magnaflows, and thesedon't sound much louder than stock. And this is with an O/R H pipe on. Once again these are my opinions, just as are the other posts above me. You can't get a true fellunless you hear them in public. I am now searching for my 6th axleback, and was leaning towards another set of flow's or one of the Pype's systems.Either the mid-muffler system or the Violators.
