I was talking to my rep at work about mustangs, and he said he saw one for sale w/ no s/c. I thought they all come with the saleen s/c. Am I wrong?

My first drive was in a S197 was a non-sc Saleen seen in the attachment. For some reason it isn't selling. Its still on the lot today and I test drove it in Feb 2007. The sticker said $49,000....Way too much for a non s/c car IMHO...

yeah, its just a 3v S281 w/ 335hp I think.
Your pretty much paying an extra 20k for body mods.

Saleen cars are slightly overpriced but idk why the dealer put $49k on a at the most $37k car. The dealers here have the s/c'd version at $49k

yeh thats what some kid at my school got. When you think about it, its 45k bux for a basically stock gt with a body kit

i wanted one (base saleen) in the fall
of '04, but the stealerships weren't
budging from the $45k price tag....

oh well.....

Yes, that's the right Hp rating. I also really liked the intereior/gauge package and the 3:73 gears. I came close to having them bolt on a Saleen S/C but in the end it wouldn't have been 'original' and nothing but a 'dealer modded' Saleen so I looked elswhere.
