hey guys,
i have a deal pending with a guy in this forum for his set of used mac shorty headers. i wanna know if anyone on here has ever bought or installed used headers, and if it is more likely to cause me leaking problems. one of my friends (none of us are too car savvy) says that used headers will probably have shaped to the other guys engine and probably will leak when i put them on mine. wouldnt a new gasket solve this problem"? thx for the help guys

 

I would get a new gasket, and you should be fine. It's not like the thing melted and molded to his block.

 

You shouldnt have any problem at all. Just get some new gaskets.

And also, the macs I've heard, arn't just a bolt on perfect fit. I went with JBAs, which I'm installing today. As far as I'm aware, the JBAs are just bolt in, no cutting or modification needed.
