X-Cal 3 problems
So I was trying to switch over to 93 octane with my X-Cal 3 yesterday, and an error message came up when I tried to load the custom bamachips tune
I hear theres a fix for this problem, but havent been able to find it. Does anyone know what it is?

you have to send it back to doug i think. the xcal 3's have been having alot of issues with loading tunes and marrying themselves to the ecu. i was going to go with an xcalIII but then i found a great deal on an x2 and im glad i went with it. doug said they have been having lots of problems.
missing some valuable info....what the hell did the error message say
.....you might not have to send it to Doug, if you upgrade the device to the latest firmware from the SCT site, this should fix all of your problems if it isnt the latest, Doug can then email you your tunes and you can load them

it just says "error opening tune file"
I'll try the firm ware flash, see if thats it..
how long does doug take to respond? because I've already emailed him...[&:]

Email Doug ... tell him you are having XCAL3 problems. He will EMAIL you your 3 tune files. Next go to SCTFLASH.com website. Go into the forums for XCAL3 and there will be instructions on how to upgrade your XCAL3 to the latest version. Once it's updated as per SCT instructions you will need to load the three custom tunes back in using the same software you used from the upgrade. Not sure about yours but Doug included a USB cable with my X3 so it all worked out.
