new wheels & tires
My American Muscle wheels & tires came UPS last night! Make the whole Stang look great, ya think? 18x9 front, 18x10 rear. Could have gone bigger on the rear, say 305 but for now I luv it

Daytime pics?
Are they chrome or black chrome?
What brand of rims (name) and what
brand and size of tires are those?
Looks good from what I can see from
the dark pics and limited info in the post.
Do you have the locking lug nuts?
What PSI are you running? How are
you going to rotatate the 18x9s to the
back and the 18x10s to the front once
you need to rotate the tires? Wont
that rub during hard cornering. You
got lowering springs on there and if so,
what kind of set-up. Sorry, but short
posts askin what ya think leaves you
open to all sorts of questions.

ok, ok, ok, some day time pics. the wheels are anthracite (color) the tires are Sumitomo 255/45 front, 275/40 rear. I know some bad things have been said about Sumitomo but I believe it boils down to they have a harder rubber compound for mileage reasons & lose traction quicker in a burn outthan a softer compound tire. I plan on bigger 305 tires in the rear later, so I'm not concerned about burnouts. I also dont plan to rotate em thats why I got 18x9 front & 18x10 rear. No they dont rub, fact is theres plenty of room. Yes I have locking lugs on them. I got the wheels & tiresfrom "American Muscle", free shipping & free mounting & balancing, figure I saved about $300, $400 bucks. Total cost to my door was about $1,300. I talked to a guy a few weeks ago who had the same wheel-tire combo on his 04 GT & he paid about $1,800. He got his here local (So. Cal.) from American racing. Make sure your lug nuts have a small shoulder above the bevel that sits in the rim. I ordered a "wheel kit" from American Muscle & the lug nuts didn't have the shoulder above the bevel & the flat part of the lug nuts were hitting the bevel in the wheel. I heard someone in this fourm had a problem with vibrations after a wheel change & it was caused by wrong lug nuts. Also if your using a acorn type lug nut or for that matter any type lug nut, put a little "anti sieze" compound on the studs. Rust will get in the lug nuts especially inthe acorn type where water can acumilate. Sorry for the "Mac-10" pic, thats my "rice eliminator", lol.

Who in their right mind would own one of
those and then put it on the hood of your
Stang. On second thought those two go together.
Chrome would look better that the anthracite
but what the hey, they cost more so I understand
your thinking on the finish choice.
p.s. ditch the "flying M" centercaps
