Default A-Arm Support Brace?

i know that the front end is fairly stiff in the new models, and strut bars are essentially just for looks, but what about an A-Arm Brace?

Performance-wise, you won't be able to feel the difference, similar to a Strut tower bar. It may help reduce shake going over bumps & such, as the convertablecomes withone. I was going to pick up that OEM one, but for some reason it was over $200! It's just a piece of tubing, soI think someone misplaced a zero in the system. I have $9.98 special I 'fabricated' from Home Despot. Not very strong, but considering it's replacing air it doesn't need to be.

Also consider how flexible all the rubber bushings are in the system; they flex a lot more that the strut towers or the mounting spots for the Lower control arm. I upgraded to the Steeda inserts for the front lower control arm bushing and that had a very noticeable improvement in turn-in & steering feel.

this part is similar to the che piece with torque limiters that everyone praises so it must do something.

Do you have the factory brace installed?
All the Verts have it but they left it off of
some of the coupes (not sure why).
Mine was missing it so instead of buying
one from Ford for $80 something bucks,
I made one out of an 05 Stang panhard bar.

I don't have the factory brace, I planned on getting an aftermarket one. Maybe I will call steeda and ask exactly what it does.

It ties your lower rear A-arm bushings together.

I think they are praising the torque limiters more than the brace itself; Lotsa people have issues with the trans shifting properly/quickly under big torque loads. The torque limiters help keep the trans lined up with the remote shifter.
