Default Buffer for spoiler

I'm about to but on a 1 piece spoiler on my mustang and I want to put something between the car and the spoiler so it doesnt hurt the paint since the spoiler sits on the car all the way across, any suggestions? Some1 said a strip of dynomatt and just stick the sticky side to the spoiler.

3M foam tape. Ford uses it for everything else.

Yeah, the 3M high-bond automotive double sided tape is good stuff and will do what you want with attaching the spoiler. You can get it a most good auto supply stores.

Put two layers of the3M VHB tape under the mounting surfaces and it
will space it out just that much more. Be careful tightening the hardware
as its more likely to distort the trunk hood from overtightening. Let the tape
do the job of holding it at the proper height off the trunk lid, not the hardware.
There is also some thin clear type of 3M vinyl that can be purchased to protect
the paint where the spoiler is too close foryour liking.
