SuperCharger Question
Is thereanyone in the forum who drives a Mustang GT with a 4.6 and an automatic transmissionand a Saleen 475 hp SuperCharger? I recently had one installed in my 07 Mustang GT, and I am not really impressed. After the install they ran it on their "Mustang Dynamometer" and the best they got for a reading was 307 hp.
And the air fuel ration is reading 22.5 at max. This is really scarey. I contacted two other shops and they are telling me the AFR should not be higher than 12.5 at max, and that I should be able to at the very least get 400hp.
I am taking it back to the shop Monday morning for them to check it over. I live a little over an hour away from the shop that installed the SC. Has anyone had any experience with a "Mustang Dynamometer"?
I also have an appointment on Wednesday at another shop to have it evaluated on their Dynometer to get three pulls for 75.00 dollars. I hate having to spend money to check someone else's work, but 75.00 dollars is a lot cheaper than a new engine. I do hope there is someone in the forum that can help me out.
I have used Brenspeed in the past running their tunes on my GT with a CAI. I also sent them copies of my readouts from the shops Mustang Dynamometer. Talking on th phone they were also very concerned about the numbers. I hope to hear from them Monday since they now have my readout results.
Again, thank you for any help you can give me,
Thanks,
Casper
