Default HELP Problems with 07 G/CS

Hey Guys,
I am having a problem with the way my car is starting first thing in the morning or when the car has sat for a couple of hours. First thing in the morning, the car will take longer than usual to crank and start slow almost like it needs fuel or something. Then, if I immediatly turn off the car, it will start normal. I replaced the battery this weekend with one that has 800 cold crank amps but got the same result. Where should I look now? Could it possibly be the starter or alternator? Thanks for the help.

Definately sounds like something along those lines to me. Have you had your starter and alternator checked out?

I haven't but wouldn't the starter act up all the time if it was bad and not just the first start of the day?

No expert here, but, if the car starts back better in the second try, I can't see the battery or alternator being the problem since they would be weaker the second time.

Sounds like a fuel related issue IMO( pump, relay etc...).

So if a fuel issue I should probably just take it in to the dealer and have them look at it.

in the morning, instead of turning the
ignition all the way to "start" in one
motion, i would go to "on", give it
2 - 3 seconds, then proceed to "start"

if this improves the situation, then like
pascal says, it could be a fuel pump
or fuel flow issue

If you do, make it a point to leave it overnight, so they can crank it first thing in the morning.
That way they can really have a feel of the behavior.
