Default Subwoofer amplifier

Hi,

It looks like my front subwoofers from my SHAKER1000 are not working anymore. I ran the self-test diagnostic tool on my radio and the front woofers did not respond.
Right now I'm looking what the problem could be:
- Amplifier for the subwoofers
- Subwoofers (but I doubt that they are broken both at the same time)

I checked the fuse 16 and this one is looking good. I also tried replacing them but even when I change it with one that is working the subwoofers are not working.

Can somebody tell me were I can find the amplifier of the front subwoofers? And what I need to measure to know if this one is working or not.

Greetins

Thx for this information. I'll check them asap

Am I correct to say that (according to http://www.2005stang.com/gallery/alb.../radio%7E0.pdf ) that there should be 12V on the pin 5 of the amplifiers? If not then it means that no power is arriving from the main power.

On thing I don't understand on the schematic is that the subwoofers (right and left) are indicated as 2 subwoofers each. Is that correct?

Hi,

I finally managed to go hunting for the problem. I think I took out one of the front (2) amplifiers for the front subwoofers.
Now I need to know what I can measure on the connectors to know were to look for.

I've attached 3 pictures of the amplifier. Can somebody tell me were and what I can measure on the connectors?

Yes, accordind the the wiring guide, there should be
voltage on pin 5 of the amps, at all times.

Hi,

Well my rear (in the trunk) subwoofers are working fine. I'm having the problem with the subwoofers that are in the door. I ran the diagnostic test were every speaker and subwoofer should sound on its one and the front subwoofers were not making any sound.

There are 2 connectors on the amplifier. 10-pin and 6 pin. What are these and what is the pin layout

greetings

the 10 pin is Connector C2993A
the 6 pin is Connector C2993B

You can see the pin out and descriptions
on the .pdf you linked to above
