Default Red Calipers

Painted my calipers... This is a mod I feel like everyone should do - it's easy, it doesn't cost much, and it makes a huge difference.
The whole kit costs about $16 at any auto parts store, and it took me about 5 hours to do. If you have a buddy that wants to do his too, there is PLENTY in the kit to do two cars. However, do yourself a favor and buy a little hobby paint brush at Wal-Mart (or 3 or 4) - the one that comes with the kit is total crap, and the bristles fall out constantly.
Anyway, for those that don't like to read...
Before...

After, front...

After, rear - without tire on...

Even if you don't like red, they have several different colors.

Looks good!

I'm doing mine blue when I find the 24 hours to let the car sit.

Probably when I switch over to a spec clutch.

It doesn't need 24 hours to dry... I let mine sit for an hour and all has been well since...

I imagine that the paint is dry to the touch, after a couple of hours, but the ceramic paint probably needs 12 to 24 hours to be ready for the high heat created by the calipers in use. But if you have had no issues, maybe it doesn't need too long............

Question....Why do you paint the calipers? I imagine it's for looks....
Why would you want to look at a caliper? I don't get it.

Makes the car look better, kinda like stripes but not as dramatic.
