Default HELP with LCA install.

I'm installing non-adj LCAs but I can't seem to align the rear bushing with the rear end to insert the bolt. I don't have anyone to help me so I cant muscle both the rear end and lca to perfectly align.

Any tricks on how to get this aligned?

Imanaged to align the holes with a lot of elbow grease - lol.

Ifound a way to position my back against the rear wheel well and pushed forward on the rear end while I inserted the bolt. It took a lot of effort especially w/ the 2nd LCA. I'm sure I'll be sore tomorrow morning.

But to answer your question, I had jacks under the chasis just in front of the LCA. The rear end needed to hang freely in order for me to push it forward.

Gonna shower then take it for a test drive...hope all went well.

I went with the J&M LCAs. I've heard from other Stang owners that they don't make the clunking noise like most aftermarket LCAs due to their 3 piece Poly-Ball bushing combination. We'll see and I'll report the results...

That's weird that happened to you, what brand LCA's were they? Mine are BMR and I had no problem getting them to bolt right up. Probably one of the cleaner jobs i've done as well as the UCA.

Did you remove both stock LCA's at once, or did you do them one at a time? If you do them both at once, your whole rear end shifts forward and makes it difficult to realign the new LCA's. If you did them one at a time, then I don't know why it was so difficult.

LOL that was my newbie mistake! I took offboth stock LCAs prior to installing the aftermaket ones. DOH! It's all good. I'm just glad I was able to complete the job. At least I'll know what to do next time in case I need to replace the bushings.
