Smoother? I don't know about that. Firmer, and better handling would be the main reason to switch.

I put D-Specs on mine ($503 shipped) and was amazed at how much better the ride was. I guessed the 18,000-mile-old originals were just about shot, or pretty bad to begin with. Following Manufacturer's street-use recommendation of starting at 5 turns out from full firm, they ironed out many of the irritating bumps and thumps on my normal routes.

Two turns out from full firm on the rear decreased understeer on the autocross course, just as advertised.

I have the "remote" adjuster extensions for the rear, but haven't had opportunity to connect them up. A quick try for size seemed to indicate they may not be that much of an improvement.
