I had a pretty empty couple days as far as spare-time goes so I did this little mod. You guys may like it and follow my instuctions. It's very easy:

Painting your Keys and Fob-----
1 - Undo the 2 rings and pull apart the FOB assembly. It pulls apart pretty easily.
2 - Mask off the metal part of the key with painters tape
3 - Sand the 3 pieces about 5 minutes each with like 500 grit or so.
4 - Prime the pieces with whatever cheap Walmart primer you got
5 - Paint liberally 3 or 4 times with some touchup paint that matches your car.
6 - lightly wet sand any dimples or peaks.
7- Done.

 

I like your TV remote/clothespin table clamp holding the key.

I did this on such a whim. I was playing SuperMario in that room and looked down at my keys and decided to paint them.

After I slapped on some paint as I was holding the key, I thought, "damn, how am i gonna let this dry?"

The TV remote, and clothespin were right in front of me, and the rest is history.

Oh it adds at least 25 HP...at the wheels!

I think'll it'll hold up pretty well. The factory paint is pretty stong after it has cured a few days.
