Default 430 gears slowed car up

I was running in the mid 11s with stock 355 gears. I added 430 to make car faster and it only slowed it down .I guess with the supercharger thats to much gear? Im thinking of going to 390 gears . My 60' foot didnt improve its the same and my mph is at 122 ,123 .The 60' best was 1.66 beforeand now its best is 1.74 most in the high 1.7s . The car seems to bog out alittle .The one cool thing is the wheels come off the ground. Anyone have any input on why the change .

Not sure of exact mechanics but i have heard that you shouldnt go much higher than 3.73s or 3.90s with F/I

and btw, any pics of u launching with the front wheels up?

Yes, probably too much, especially if you are manual.I had 4.10s and they were a bit too much so I dropped back to 3.73s. I like them.

I would agree, anything above 3:73 on F.I cars are a little much, but I would have to say that your transmission has alot to do with that too. Just my .02, I would go back to a 3:73 if I were you. Great mods though.....any pics on the wheel stand?

yeh I have not heard of any one running more than 4.10s

these will cause your car to have a harder time launching at the same rpms

3.90's with my Saleens puts me at the same overall ratio as 3.55 with stock wheels. I'm tempted to go 4.10's because of that.

4.10s work well espeically with a centri.... what RPM are you launching?

I see u also have a 6 speed so runing out of gear shouldn't be an issue either...and if you have bogarts I'll assume ur running slicks (?) you should be getting some good 60s.... gotta drop higher RPM from the little info ur giving..JMHO

I have two friends with 4.10s and centis one runs 11.4 and the other 11.6
