when i turn my heater on just the floor setting it still comes out of the defrost as well. can anyone turn theres on just floor and have it come out only on the floor?

 

There is a floor only and a floor + defrost. Are you sure you're on the floor only?

 

yes i am sure, its not changing when i switch between those 2, it changes for all the others. I can not get it to go to only floor.

 

Mine does the same thing. When I do floor only, it pushes some air out of the defrost. When I hit floor+defrost, I get more even output on both. I think they have to put some out the defrost, too, to keep the window from fogging up.

 

mine does the same thing. if you turn the fan on high it will even make noise from the air coming out.

 

Mine does the same thing. I had it at the dealer ship for a fuel level sensor, and had them check the heater. They said they all do it. They don't know why. I'm not sure why they have a setting for just floor if it isn't going to go just to the floor.

here is what I do
put it on floor vent combo, but close the vents= all floor
its ghetto but keeps my feet warm
the heater in my 2000 v6 will smoke the one in my s197

 

The manual says that it's supposed to do that. It's so the windshield doesn't fog up.

 

Its normal....
