It all comes down to the driver in those situations.
Also... Those cars may be slower, but they're also dead quiet instead of roaring like most GTs. Yet we make barely enough speed to beat them.
Anyways, not trying to put a damper on it, Ijust think threads like this are pointless and completely miss the point of whats great about owning a Mustang.

I think nobody's mentioned also in trouble with the law. Around here they can confiscate your car and you go to jail, no defensive driving. Plus with a racing conviction on your record, try to get insurance.

HP aside - You either love the new retro 'stang or not. It's not all about performance.
Most people can't tell the difference between a V6 annd a GT - much less any mods. - Its all good.

A V6 Mustang with stock engine + turbo can run 10's. How many real street Cobalts run 10's?
Back on subject. A 2007 BMW 550i is dead even with a Mustang GT. Dont ask how I know......

we all know street racing is not the brightest/safest thing, but why are we suddenly jumping on the guy now? not like we have a street/strip section full of 93% street races............it happens.

On the other shoe,there is nothing wrong racing at the race track,and the competition is alot more fun.In Ontario Can. they impound your car,Fine you up to $12,000.00,take your license for a month minimum.That is for getting caught at +30mph.Thought I would warn everyone if they ever come up this way.You don't have to be racing anyone,either.Lots of dead people from street racing.I lost count...
