I need to know what this chin spoiler is with these ... struts comming outa the lower grill. Please tell me before I loose it, or is it a CDC chin spoiler with aftermarket addons cuz they look PIMP!!!!!!!!!!

 

It's just for looks, but on the NASCAR Car of Tomorrow (COT), I think they are there to prevent deflection in the air splitter when the down force is strong.

It does looks a little silly on the Mustang.

BTW, that car itself looks pimp.

Another question is, What's the deal with the hood pins??? I still don't get that.

 

That's a "Galpinized" 'Stang (Galpin Auto Service). One of those cars was at the LA Auto Show.

I believe that the front spoiler is a CDC aggressive, finished off with those struts. The car looks much better in person.

Galpin- The guy helping me hook up my stang used to work for Galpin and pimped some rides! That's a Galpin stang. One of the guys who works there from what i understand.

 

there is a front chin piece, it's made from a rubber type amterial, then there is another piece under it, and then finally the "struts" you are asking about. all they do (from what the Galpin guy I know said) is keep the rubber chin piece from flexing and paint peeling.

 

I cant find a place offering "galpin" products or even anything on them except a dealership... Also I found 3 galpin stangs and none of em had that strut mounted chin spoiler...

galpin "pimps" cars. like a body shop/custom shop. they don't make parts. contact them, link the pic, they'll help you out.

 

ill give it to you straight, you cant buy them unless you know people in high places, they are not on the market. wait a couple months, they should be for sale if this galpin guy knows whats good for him. lol
