Does anyone know color of the VSS wire on the 05 mustangs. My stock radio was a shaker 500, and I am installing A nav system (Kenwood P-nav 7015). The shaker 500 has that deal where it turns up the volume as you accelerate, and I think this is done with the vss wire, so a vss wire should be at the back of the radio. I think it is the pink wire, but I am not sure. Thanks for your help.

Vss, Vech. Speed Sensor. Its actually a grey with pink. Im not sure which wire behind the radio it is. But i will bring home my "extra" 2005 Mustang wiring diag. Check back tmrw. I'll have more info for you.

What I don't under stand is how is it going to connect to the head unit? through ATT or what wire to tell it to turn the volume up

 

Hi mbkowns, The vss wire is for the navigation system so it knows how fast your going.
