Ok, I have a black GT/CS with the standard black ghost stripes. I sort of want to put stripes on the hood, like Shelby stripes or GT stripes or whatever they are called. The question is... does anyone have pictures of this being done. I wonder if I should take off the GT/CS stripes entirely? I don't think it can possible look good with stripes on the doors and then on the hood and top?

Any thoughts?

 

As long as you can get them in the same color/finish I think it would look great.

The GT/CS stripes are very nice but TOTALLY in the wrong place. Talk about a design meeting fueled by Crack ! [:'(]

They would look awesome down just above the rockers, where God intended all Mustang stripes to be.

 

They were in the same place on the sides in the '60s. I don't think they had crack back then.

I got them. Vinyl stripes cost me 500 bucks. I get alot of compliments.

 

No offense, but I would have to see that in person to see how those white stripes look on the hood with the black stripes on the doors. I am not sure I like it so much.

Has anyone really looked up close at the GT/CS stripes? I can't really be sure, but it is some sort of weird patterned material which seems to have some sort of texture. I am going by memory, because my car is in storage right now. I just wonder where I would get wider stripes to match that. I thought about trying to match them exactly and doing the GT stripes in flat black for kind of a ghost effect also.

I might just have to keep the GT/CS how it is and get another mustang to stripe.
