Default 05 purchase

I just traded my 2002 GT in for a 2005 GT. The caris perfect. It had only 3988 niles on it when I got it. It still smells new inside and under the hood. Paid 20,600. I can't get over the drivability and power of this vehicle. I did a lot of work on the 02 just to get it down to the 13.82 1/4 mile. This car feelsto have the ability out of the gate. Verified that it came with a 3.55:1 axle configuration. A nice improvement from the factory. The ride is awesome. The handling is awesome. The shift is smooth. WOW! Looking to do a CAI and tune in thespring based on what I have read here. Thanks. Anyone know where to buy good quality GT stripes that will hold up and not crack or bubble? Thanks again.

Congrats on the purchase! Yes, you definitely want to do the intake and tune as it's the best bang for the buck. As far as stripes, I would check out Baltimore Street Modes and they advertise/sponsor on the site.

I know the feeling. Went from a '99 GT vert to the '05 and it was like night and day. Enjoy!

Chad, congrats on your 2005 Redfire GT! Less than 4,000 miles. Wow. Sounds like you got a great deal.

Love to see some pics before and after stripes.

You're going to love your Mustang.

No need to verify. All 05 came with 3.55 gears, wasn't an option. But welcome to the club!!!

Thanks guys/gals for the input. With regard to the options question, it is the premium package with 6cd changer, leather, 5 speed, sport appearance package, standard bullit style rims, 235x17 rubber, etc.and even at almost three years of age still has the standard new car smell that we know and love ssoooooo well. I will be looking into the CAI and tune option as you all have commented on this coming spring. Also I want to look into the stripes at Baltimore Street Mods that was recommended by heavyg72. American iron, love the hood on your pony. Thanks.
