Default Shaker 500 question

alright i have this idea. On my shaker 500, there is a button called AUX, which in most sterios you can plug in an AUX cable and play your ipod throught the AUX cable. Now i was wondering...is there a plug in the back of the shaker to plug in the cable? if so i was going to plug that in and run it to my center consel and play my ipod through my speakers!!!
ANY CLUES??

My '07 has the jack in the center console which I can use to play my IPOD through. I think on the 05-06 you need some type of IPOD adapter. I think the AUX was originally designed for the optional Sirius satellite service.

i think the shaker 500 sounds great. I have no complaints and have never had a problem with the radio/satellite/cd functionality. I'm glad I got the upgrade.

On the 2005 the Shaker500's AUX input is only for the factory satellite receiver. What you can do is get an AUX input adaptor from PIE to convert that input into a pair of RCA inputs. This is the part http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...1672&avf=Y

And to answer the other question. The Shaker 500 sounds pretty bad in comparison to anything aftermarket. The highs are almost nonexistant, the lows are a bit muddy and the mids are weak. Typical factory stereo...
