I thought I'd change the look of my car at night so I got some halo fog lamps. These are CCFL(Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lighting) which arebrighter than standard halos. I plan to get some halo headlights w/black housingin the future to match. I took a bunch of pics during the install and was thinking of doing a DIY write up. The install took about 3 hrs since I had to take the bumper off and splice & solder the wires. Overall it was pretty easy.

 

Looks Awsome! Are the halo headlight bulbs the same thing as hids?

 

The fog light bulbs that came with it are the same as stock which are Sylvania bulbs.

those look awesome. can you just turn on the halos or does the entire fog have to be on?

 

The halo part is wired into the parking/running lamps so they turn on when the parking lamps are on. Fogs don't need to be on.

 

How much and where did you get them please?

 

I want to see a shot from 50 or more feet......to me it will look kinda odd..
