shifting problem or is it just me lol
im pretty sure im having a hard time getting the car into 3rd under WOT runs, i'm used to driving my WRX which has a totally different feel to it, but i hopped in the mustang tonight and missed third like 5 times, it was pretty embarassing...
it didnt grind or anything, i just had a hard time getting it into the gate. i feel like there was a mod out there that you could do that would help alot with getting the car into 3rd... any suggestions?

Ihave the same problem. It bugs me when I can't get the stick in the slot (insert joke here). I have to frantically jiggle it to get it in. LOL Occasionally it's tough to get into 5th also. It usually happens when I'm really on the gas and shifting late at high rpm's. Eventually, I'm going to buy the Pro 5.0 shifter to solve this problem.
Sounds like the syncro's are having problems when shifting esp at RPMS different than normal driving and obeying the laws of the road!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been having the same problem above 6k rpms in 2nd and 3rd since last June. Now my clutch is starting to slip real bad in all the gears. I think the shifting under load is the synchros, but my shop thinks it's the clutch. Tranny's getting pulled on Tuesday to inspect it and while it's out, install a CF DF clutch, Fidanza aluminum f/w and a new slave. Hope to get it fixed...
And...Just because I'm running RPMs above 6k rpms does not mean I'm not obeying the laws of the road. And normal driving is purely subjective... Didn't know we had the traffic police here.

I beg to differ on that and I am not being traffic police just trying to explain what "under normal driving conditions" is for me!
My tuner thinks if you have FI (agressive tune or power adders) the clutch will fail at some point and is on the same pg as your shop guys! Didn't notice do you have FI? Sounds like some nice parts are going in soon!!!!!
Last dig... normal driving is not subjective if going over 6000 RPMs and the law your breaking is improper acceleration regardless if you are in 1st, 2nd, or any gear! (No I am NOT a cop!)
Just been pulled over many times in the past for that![:@]
Looking now that you are in Germany I guess you are in the clear but here in the U.S. we dont have that nice Autobahn to test our stang on

I've been driving manual transmission cars all my life in both street and strip conditions and I've been driving since 1966 so I do have a little experience with cars in general and Mustangs in particular.
I have noticed that sometimes when people have trouble hitting the 2-3 up-shift the problem is they are trying to "directly aim and place" the shifter into 3rd and this causes the missed shifts. What I do and recommend for others is to simply "push" the shifter with the palm of your had and "allow" the shifter to go into 3rd, it will slip in and find its way every time. This works for for me whether street driving and for aggressive strip driving.
Try it and it 'may' help your situation.
