Hey guys I just bought an 06 mustang and I don't know what kind of mustang it is, its a 4.6l v8 and I think it is a GT but it also has the Cobra symbols on it?? So I'm clueless lol someone help! thanks for any info!

 

First let me welcome you to the Forum.....Now let me respond to your question....

 

Probably the new 2.0L Ford came out with. I hear those have cobra emblems on them.

Do you have the invoice on the car? It will say what it is. Also go to the dealer or call your insurance and give the VIN and they can tell you what it originally started off as a GT or something else. Welcome to the forum!

Most likely a GT as the GT500's (any type) will have the 5.4L and S/C'ed !

 

Does it have a Super Charger on it? If not then it is a poser. Nothing wrong with GT's though!

What does the manual say? Wouldn't the Cobra have a different manual?

 

it's a GT... someone slapped some Cobra badges on it, which they do all too often.

remove em and put some factory GT badges on her since it's not a Cobra... good as new.

 

1) there was no GT500 Cobra in 2006
2) the GT500 has a 5.4 S/C, not a 4.6
