Default VORTECH not making boost---help

Alright guys, got the base vortech kit in. Alls good there. Now I need some help.

I'm only making 4-5 lbs boost peak.
Has the stock 3.80" pulley----supposed to make 8.5-9.5 # of boost.

Vehicle is pulling approx. 20 in" vaccum at idle according to the guage.
Like I said, makes 4-5 psi max.

Checked the vacuum lines--appears ok
Checked the bypass-valve-- appears ok--plunger moves when I press it in--vacuum line is connected in line to the fuel pressure vac. line.

ANY IDEAS

Also, if anyone has a pic of how the vacuum lines are connected it would be great.

Also, looking for what wire to hook narrowband 02 guage wire to....

Thanks guys.

my HO kit (which would make more boost) didn't make 6psi till about 4900 and didn't make 9 till 6000 so u may not be far off.

check that the belt is tight and that the connections for your gauge are snug.....
