hey guys. i have been a foxbody guy forever and finally decided to get a newer car. just bought an 05 gt and want to get more mustang sound out of it. thinking of the flowmaster axlebackkit has anybody used this? or is there a nicer soundingkit out there. i have found out its a whole different world going from fox to s197. i will probalynot go back.

 

SLP's are a better choice IMO. Flowmaster just aren't enough.

 

The LMs or the Powerflos?

 

I use to have Flow's and swited to Bassani's -- I would try to find as many people in your area and hear their setup and see what you like... always best to hear it in Person

 

I have Bassani O/R X-pipe and Bassani axle backs and love it.

Hard to match your foxbody to these new cars. IMO, 5 liter foxbodies always had the best exhaust sound. Probably go the usual route, cai, tune, offroad h, and some deep axlebacks. I am running cai, o/r h, and stingers and my setup just isn't loud enough, real deep at start up and decent at idle, a lot of drone inside also.

 

Loud mouths. I run an offroad X with two resinators in the mid section and straight piped the rest.
