my tires are stud-able but dont really need them here...
on another note , I wonder if they would spark if you spun the tires on the dry pavement?
Mine has done very well with the stock pirellis, of course I went to Menards and dropped $10 for a 70lb "sand tube" and a 50lb bag of ice melt. They sit right over the rear axle and really help, plus if I do get stuck, they will help there too. Mind you, I've only driven to and from work and that's like a 12 mile round trip. Now towing 100 ton airliners in the snow, that's a different story. No winter tires for those bad boys!
