Painted stripes>Vinyl stripes. And putting on the shaker hood scoop is a job for a good body man just something about taking a metal saw to my hood isnt something I could do.

The Shaker install was a breeze. I did it in about 3 hours in my garage. No sense in paying someone for something this easy.

If you look in the TacoBill how to Sticky, I believe he has a good write up in there.

But again IT'S EASY!!!

Not too difficult to do yourself. Cutting the hood is the hardest part. Measure carefully using the template. Use a good jigsaw with the finest tooth blades you can get. Read TacoBills write-up.
Stripe kits, vinyl;Baltimore Street Mods, Graphics Express,Bob White Decals,to name a few. There's a seller on ebay who sells the 70 Boss style stripe kits, you can search for Mustang stripes on ebay.
Paint would be the best, but would cost quite a bit more than the vinyl option.

Not hard at all...
They have good instructions and Taco Bill has a good write up too.
I installed a few, including my car. I don't know about all brands but I'm used to the CDC system. Good quality.

Does the Shaker hood give you any added power and if so how much? I'm too lazy to night to do a search.

No performance gains noted. One guy did his own study on air temps inside the stock air box with and without the shaker. If I recall it was like 20-30 degree cooler with the Shaker installed. So with that I would only figure there to be some sort of small gain, and if not a gain, at least no power loss since the engine will be staying cooler easier and longer... :/

+1 Do it yourself. It really isn't hard to do at all. DO a search on here and read all you can. There are a few little tips and tricks that the directions don;t tell you that are very useful (like trimming the shaker cover around the opening for the throttle body screws)

Just take your time and relax. Its no sweat.

If you're nervous about cutting the hood just take it to a body shop and show them what you want to do. They should be able to cut the hole for you.
