Roush Louvers install

Roush Louvers install
I am in the middle of a Roush 1/4 window louver install.
Thought I would try doubling the 3MVHB tape to space
the louvers out some from the body to help prevent scratching
from around the edges of the 1/4 windowlouvers.

It was 70 degrees here today after a long cold spell and I
thought this was the last chance for good weather until spring.
Just waiting therequired hour before putting them
on the already installed brackets.

RE: Roush Louvers install
they look awesome, got a picture of the spacing off the body since you doubled up the 3m tape?..im gonna try to place an order for some pre painted ones myself this upcoming week but the $386 just seems ridiculous when they are only $167 unpainted, can only find red ones on ebay, texas hot rods says they cant do Vapor(wtf?) so it looks like im going directly through roush

RE: Roush Louvers install
I am worried about the scratching as well, good fix with the 3M tape. Here is my plan...useing thetemplate provided by Roush, my 3M clear bra guy is going to make me two pieces as large as the louvers themselves andcut out the hole for the window. This way you will have the protection from scratches, from the mounts, as well as the edges of the louver itself.

Nice to see that the install went well. I remembering PM'ing you about the extra screws that you bought (but I was too late to get the extra ). Anyways, did you use them? How did they work? I have my Louvers sitting in the basement to put on once the winter is over...my car wrapped up for the winter [:@]

RE: Roush Louvers install
I'm thinking I should've gotten the Roush louvers now. I'm currently installing my Street Scene removeable louversand they don't exactly match or fit the entire glass. Depending on how you place them on the glass, you'll either see some glass showing on the bottom or the top.Doesn't make for aclean looking install. At least the Roush louvers cover the entire window opening and go past the windows edge.

I'm still unable to tell if those were perfectly flush with the body, but so far it looks ok.
With mine the important thing was that they lined up with the edge evenly around the window.
