Default Cooling Fan Question..

I took the car through a touchless carwash yesterday to get all of the salt off of it and when I pulled out I noticed steam coming out from under the front of the hood, didn't think much about it, it was 50° out and just figured it was due to water getting on something hot under the hood, then about a block later I looked down at the ScanGauge and saw the coolant temp was at 206°...I pulled into a parking lot and looked under the hood, didn't notice anything strange and then drove on home. On the way home the water temp got up to 215° at one point and then came back down to around 197° (about where it normally runs). I let it sit for an hour or so at home then went out and started it and let it sit and idle for a while, after around 15mins it was up to 215° at which point the fan came on and it came back down to 197°....I know it has a two speed fan and I am wondering if the low speed has went out?? I cant seem to find anywhere online at what temp the high and low speed is supposed to kick in....just seems wierd that it was getting that warm, Ive only seen it up that high in the summer after sitting in traffic for a while....any ideas?? Or am I just being paranoid?[/align]

Default RE: Cooling Fan Question..

If you have an Xcal, you can adjust the start temp of both fans independently. I forget the stock temps but Brenspeed will know.
