as far as cold air intakes are concerned. i heard they make a "sucking" sound under wot. is there a difference in sound between the jlt or c&l?? i'd like for mine to make some racket!!!!

 

Well the JLT has a larger Filter Element.... I dont really know how that translates.
None of them are going to make any noise until you get on it.

 

My Steeda CAI makes a large "swoosh" sound when I hit it.

 

I barely noticed my C&L Street making any more noise than stock. When I installed my Bamachips race tune (was running canned diablosport tune before) and delete plates I noticed it got a bit louder.

 

My BBK is noticable for sure. Just so you know they only make the WOOSH when you punch the gas really good. It only lasts a second since your just hearing that initial blast of air. Your car isnt going to sound supercharged if thats what your looking for.

 

Only time I notice my C&L is when I blip the throttle pretty hard with the windows down or when I turn off my car.

 

I can hear my C&L Racer CAI really well from inside the cabin, windows up. Nice "Sssssshhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!" sound when you tap the gas hard enough. It's not a continual swooshing sound like the ocean.....just lasts as long as when you take a quick breath.

 

Just get a supercharger if you want to make some racket. I cant even hear my intake anymore cuz my exhaust is too loud[8D]

 

Ive had a few open air intakes on my vehicles in the past that were noisey. (Buick Grand National, Nissan Altima, DodgeDakota)

Currently, I have a C&L intake in my GT. I gotta be honest, I dont hear any difference with the stock airbox vs. the C&L.

 

Yea, its really not a big deal..maybe a littel louder but nothing thats gonna scare your opponent away..
