Default Changing automatic Trans fluid

For anyone who changed their automatic transmission fluid did you just drop the pan then empty it to drain it? I know NAPA has a pump for $20 to pump the fluid back in.

Just dropping the pan and draining will only get about 1/3 or less of the fluid out of the tranny. It should be power flushed but there are issues doing that on high mileage trannys. Otherwise, a power flush by a reputable shop is the way to go.

Dropping the pandoes however allow you to change the filter.
