Default Center cap problem resolved

So some of you may have seen me posting that I had trouble getting my stock center cap to fit in my americanmuscle 17x9" bullit wheels...well I fixed the problem by using the American Muscle center caps by taking the clear plastic circle piece off of the mount where its double sided tapped...then I cleaned both surfaces clear of all tape residue...then i sanded the clear plastic circle until it was flat on both sides...then I cut my stock center cap (the one with the ford oval on it) by removing the mounting parts that are attached behind the cap and sanded down the back of the stock cap until it was as flat as possible...I then double side tapped the clear plastic circle that came off of the american muscle center cap assembly back together and then double side tapped the stock cap over the american muscle center cap and all is well in the world of center caps and stock bullit wheels...

I know it was a lot to write, I guess showing pictures with the steps would probably be better next time

lol ya dude I'm not quite sure what you said. There was like a like a moose in there and other stuff. lol. Tried to understand what you where saying but it was a lot of reading. But glad you got it. And post up pics as soon as you can because I'm getting some American bullets soon and would like to put the tri-pony emblem on them.

The problem only comes if you want to use stock 17x8" bullit wheels in the front and the american muscle bullit17x9" rims in the rear...if you get 17x9" all the way around you are fine because the american muscle center caps can be purchased with the tri-bar pony in black...the stock center caps will not fit their 17x9" rims...I am thinking the offset is incorrect though for putting the 17x9" rims in the front though its a +42 offset I believe...they may fit but I think they would actually look weird...

I also have the tri-bar pony caps from AM...sitting in the box because they didn't fit, and I never returned them. Anyone want to buy them for a discount? I have no use for them.

I put a decal over the ones that came with the wheels. Cheap and cool fix for me
