Is this a possibility? I got an auto so that the wife to be could drive it when needed but she recently got a new car so now I am wondering if this swap could happen. I am not sure how it would even work but if theres a chance...and it is not too expensive...than I may give it a go.

Very complex to do that conversion.
You must change wiring harnesses and PCM, crossmember, trans, pedals. shifter, flywheel.
It will be over 5K to do this yourself - more to pay a shop.
You are better off tradingfor a manual if that is what you want.

 

I agree the trade-in is easier and simpler. Find a manual GT at a dealership with similar mileage, offer the salesman 1000 dollars and your car, and drive off with your new (used) manual GT.

yes it perfectly possible to do so. But be very aware that is very costly. LOL I didnt even know they made auto for gt. Thats a bit of a shame
