Default CS rear bumper

My dealership said this is the whole bumper. I thought I read hear that it was just the back lower portion. They quoted me 426 for the bumper unpainted. Is this what you guys have also?

The GT/CS rear bumper is a full bumper, its not a lower fascia.

I thought it was only the lower portion as well but I found out it is the whole bumper. Stupid.

Stupid?[&:]As opposed to what?
The GT bumper is one piece too. They do make the lower portion, same for the CS.
But they don't look smooth. Don't remember the company but MossMustang carries it.

As opposed to Ford making it two pieces, just as the same with the front bumper. It's not that they look like one piece because they certainly look like two pieces so it'd make much more sense to be one piece in case you damaged the lower portion.

Well, it's not stupid to them.
It's call marketing my friend, they want you to spend the big bucks.

I agree, I personally still think it's stupid.[8D]

Well, there is truth in that also.
If that bumper was cheaper, say, no more than $250. They'll sell a lot more, therefore, more money.
Guess they don't want to see GT/CS rear on every Stang.[8D]

It would look tacky if it were just a tacked on piece of plastic.
