Heard really good things about the 3m stuff. Wanted to have myMazda3done but it was +$700 installed...just couldn't pull the trigger on that one. I will probably get it done to my new stang (picking it up Saturday! ).

IMO It's definitely worth the money on a higher-end car.

Mine has been on 2+ years with no yellowing. I have 72K miles on the car and the front end looks pretty darn good. I installed Clearmask.com stuff myself. Doing the whole front bumper piece = very hard. Doing small pieces like hood/fender/headlights = pretty easy.

Installed price quotes I got for hood, fender, mirrors, upper/lower bumper:

3m brand = $983.
Xpel brand = $833.

Both are warranted the same.

That's a lot of $ but not as much as the depreciation hit when the car has paint dings all over the front.

That's not a clear bra. Might be a translucent shirt, but I can't see through the bra.[8D]

It's just for folks that can't deal with paint chips or can't or don't want to repair them. I have never had a manager come up to me and say....."OK, you got 10 paint chips, that's going to knock $500 off your trade right there."

I am the biggest fan that 3M ever had of the clear bra. I have it installed on my two vehicles, my motorcycle, and once my father and sister saw my installs they had it installed on their 04 C5 and 04 G35. If ANYONE has any questions reguarding this topic please PM me, I have done more research on this topic than probably anyone else. I have pic of all vehicles. GO 4 IT!

i'm not a big fan on clear bra.... all the stuff i have seen so far starts turning yellow... i was looking at a ferrari 355 with the bra Yellow gt 500 white blue stripes Yellow bra..

Guys I just priced this yeserday. The one I saw was $555 or $585 I can't remember. I saw it on a Mercedes 600 SL that had just got the work and I liked it alot. Yes you see a seem but I would rather see that seem anyday than chips in your front. As for the yellow color change thuis one was covered under warranty for that.

Warranty for the life of your car, no color change, no bubbles, failer to adhere, crack, peel, etc, etc. Covers hood, mirrors, space directly behind wheels, front bumper and that little space where your hand goes when you grab the door handles. They have a vid of a car after applicationthey shot it with a sand blaster and pebbles or some crap and there were no marks on it. Not cheap but with a warranty for the life of car thats good enough for me. I will fine the vid link and post it later on. IMO good investment.

Good luck

I'm also a huge fan of the 3mm clear bra. It really depends on where you have it installed because some places use the cheap stuff that will turn yellow. I've had mine on for awhile now... maybe 4 months and no more chips! In addition, I had them do all around the front bumper, hood, and behind each wheel well. Lifetime warranty. It set me back about $500 but totally worth it.
